A Bit About Me

I am Stephanie Tselekis and I run Cheekis Interiors, a boutique, international interior design studio located in Perth, Australia. I've worked in Interior Design for nearly 15 years spanning across Europe, the US and Australia. Experiencing the industry from multiple countries and markets has been incredibly fulfilling and has greatly informed my design range and abilities. I've lived and worked on three different continents, focused in the cities of Chicago, Berlin, and Perth.

My experience in corporate design was impactful, however, the creative process while working one-on-one with homeowners and private clients has been the most rewarding. Building relationships with families and providing a service and a beautiful space to help improve their lifestyle is my main focus. I don't take for granted that many people spend a great amount of time saving to remodel or build a new home so it is of the utmost importance that my clients receive the customer service and creative result that they have invested in.

Let's meet up for coffee to chat about your upcoming interior design project!

After obtaining her Interior Design degree, Stephanie embarked on her design journey at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, IL. She honed her skills in textiles while working for showrooms such as Cowtan & Tout, John Rosselli, and Carnegie Inc. Later, she transitioned to designing residential and commercial flooring for InterfaceFLOR. In 2012, Stephanie ventured into freelance interior design, securing her first residential and commercial clients. Her projects ranged from cosmetic updates to kitchen and bath remodels, and she curated furnishings for spaces across Chicago, New York, and Florida.

An exciting personal opportunity arose, prompting Stephanie to move from Chicago, IL to Perth, Australia in January 2016. Over the next 3+ years, she immersed herself in Commercial Sales at Innerspace, a renowned multi-line furniture showroom.

Taking another leap of faith, Stephanie relocated to Europe, settling in Berlin, Germany. There, she transitioned into retail visual merchandising and management for a global clothing and wellness brand. Despite her shift, Stephanie remained connected to the interior design industry, actively participating in design fairs throughout Germany and Denmark

Accompanied by her husband and toddler, Stephanie returned to Perth for the foreseeable future. With great enthusiasm, she has relaunched her freelance interior design business. Additionally, she plans to debut a curated e-commerce shop in late 2024, showcasing design brands that resonate with her personal style.
